face to face

£45 (50 Minutes)

Most clients prefer this mode of counselling as it allows you time to connect and bring yourself to a safe space away from your home setting. It may seem daunting at first as we are strangers, but this is actually the key successful counselling. The fact that we don’t know each other means there is no predetermined judgement and we can both form a therapeutic relationship based on our true selves.

telephone

£45 (50 Minutes)

This is a flexible way for those who are less able to commute. It offers a sense of anonymity which may help you to feel more comfortable in opening up about difficult situations.

£45 (50 Minutes)

A great option for you if you seek connection and enjoy a face-to-face conversation, but prefer to be in your own space. This could also be because of transport issues or if you’re fitting a session in between working from home and it saves time travelling. You would need to feel comfortable that there is no-one there that can overhear your session and a good internet connection is needed.

walk & talk

Exercise is proven to increase to enhance physical health. A ‘walk and talk’ session allows you the opportunity to exercise and talk. It’s a chance for you to improve your fitness and well-being simultaneously. We can meet at a local park and take a leisurely stroll to ensure no-one can over hear us.

Scrapbook Art Therapy- 3 sessions (50 minutes each) - £120

All resources will be provided (scrapbook, papers, stickers, ribbons etc.) and you do not have to be artistic in any way. I also include prompt sheets with content ideas so there is no need to worry about how to fill your pages! These sessions are designed to focus on how you deal with feelings through creativity.

It’s a mixed model session of both talk and art therapy and these have been created to specifically allow you the space and time to focus on a particular issue.

grief / bereavement

Losing someone you love can leave you feeling incredibly lost with overwhelming feelings of sadness and loss of hope. Together we can focus on a scrapbook which can help to create new ways of processing your loss. You can bring photos, poems, quotes or anything you might want to include. These sessions can be very emotional as you remember fond times and begin to talk about memories, but please know that this welcome and part of the therapeutic healing.

This book usually includes pages filled with your favourite photos, memories, paragraphs and words of how your feeling in the moment, song lyrics, your hopes for the future without this person and anything that you feel contributes to their memory. The scrapbook will be yours to keep at the end of the sessions and can be continued once our sessions are over.

yourself

It’s not uncommon to feel ‘stuck’ in your life. These sessions can help you to identify what feels off balance for you right now and what can you do to change it. Not only do we participate in talk therapy which allows you to express your feelings, but the scrap book gives you a chance to see it for yourself, which in turn encourages self-belief.

We celebrate your individuality and unique qualities and the talking therapy alongside this may challenge you to be honest with yourself and really explore your deeper feelings.

This book is usually filled with pages expressing how you feel about yourself and life right now and pages to reflect what changes you want to see in the future. It can include aims for your personal goals, relationship, career, financial matters, hopes, dreams…whatever you want to focus on! This is unique to you and what is important for you at this stage of your life.

Anxiety / Depression / Low Mood

This is the most common type of reason why people come to therapy. Art therapy is a beneficial way to express our emotions without words and I wanted to create a block of sessions that gives you an opportunity to participate in something new and different to explore your thoughts and beliefs. This has a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach as it gives focus to the unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling and behaving and is goal orientated to employ adaptive ways to manage your feelings. It gives you evidence-based information to show how your feelings, thoughts and behaviours interlink. It is a visual tool which allows you to understand how your irrational thoughts can limit your ways of being.

At the end of our sessions, you may find this scrapbook has pages of what your core beliefs are, where they come from and we will challenge this and document your findings.

It will contain words, diagrams, pictures and anything else that will help you to identify what changes you can make within your thought process to alter what currently is not working for you. It focuses on self-worth, self-esteem and will have pages to encourage

self-care tips and words of affirmations. This can be a challenging project, but the dual aspect of both talk and art therapy can be healing and really begin to shift your thinking patterns into a more healthy process.

I am happy to offer these art therapy sessions as a group session if you wish to attend with any friends or family members.
